Heat transfer and friction factor correlations development for double pass solar air heater artificially roughened with perforated multi-V ribs

Thermo-hydraulic performance of a Double Pass Parallel Flow Solar Air Heater (DPPFSAH) roughened with perforated multi-V ribs has been studied experimentally in prior study and the effect variation open area ratio change relative roughness width analysed reported. The current work builds upon aforementioned earlier by discussing detail methodology various steps involved development correlation for variable parameters Nusselt number friction factor DPPFSAH. outcomes show that perforations lead to considerable rise number, 9.66 times increase thermo-hydraulic parameter nearly four compared smoothed walls. Empirical correlations were obtained double pass parallel flow solar air heater established ±14% ±7%.
